The course’s purpose is to broaden the perspective on the History of Furniture, for students who are interested in the domain, through the presentation of additional information regarding the specific artistic tendencies and their followers in the field, from the beginning of the 20th century, until the beginning of the 21st. This is accomplished in form of examples that highlight the connection between furniture design, and the creative work connected to the scientific, technical, artistic development of society.
