The course aims at identifying and understanding the challenges of the architect - urbanist profession in the issues of urban mobility. It raises awareness of the importance of urban mobility within the contemporary city and fosters an understanding of the conditioning between mobility and urban development, students gaining knowledge of the general notions of sustainable urban mobility, built on the principles of integration, participation and continuous evaluation, in order to meet people needs in terms of increasing the quality of life in cities and surroundings; students also acquire notions of classifying and arranging urban traffic within the contemporary city.
