Description

The course addresses the architectural history of the period c.1750 – c.1890, discussing its major architectural themes, styles and personalities. Each theme departs from and returns to the ‘station’ of a familiar, local or Transylvanian monument, which is thereby  positioned within the relevant  socio-programmatic, technologic and aesthetic systems of meaning that it signifies.
