-Understand the concepts and principles needed to manage, administer and control a network environment.

-familiarise yourself with the different conceptual models for managing networks and services
-know the rules (standardisation) and recommendations
-implementation and use cases in companies (the job of network architect, proprietary solutions, open source platforms)
-differentiate between different management approaches (short, medium and long term)
-recognise the limits of a management approach in new environments (cloud, sensors, etc.)
-identify new network management tools (big data, artificial intelligence, event correlation and aggregation)
