AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: The course aims to familiarise students with the basic building elements of electronic circuits. At the end of the course the students are expected to have basic knowledge and to be able to apply the basic semiconductors elements, to know their characteristics, mode of operation, important parameters, and to choose appropriate device for given application using datasheets.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The main topics concern: Introduction to Semiconductors, PN Junction Diodes, Zener Diodes, Bipolar Junction Transistors, Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors, Optoelectronic Devices, Introduction to Integrated Circuit, Displays.
