This module is directed towards students undertaking a course of study leading to the award of a Level 8 honours degree in manufacturing engineering. It is intended to give an overall view of operations management, the role of the Operations Manager and how operations differ from one organisation to another. Students will be introduced to contemporary operations management tools and techniques, and will develop competency in their application. In addition, this module gives students insight into how the operations function fits into the overall organisation.
