This module is an introduction to Engineering Thermodynamics. It provides the basic tools, insights and understanding necessary for the analysis of any engineering system in which energy transfers or transformations occur. In this module students will continue to develop their skills in the application of mathematics and basic sciences to engineering problems involving energy. The module provides the opportunity for the students to practice engineering science related to thermodynamics and to develop solutions to engineering problems through the application of the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
