The study course includes the structural elements and their principles of behaviour; loads and actions; steel and timber structural materials, their properties, behaviour and various features. Joints of structural elements; methodology for simple single design of structural elements; development and design of technical drawings. During the study course different structural solutions, as well as steel and timber structural materials are inspected. The link between loads and actions and dimensions of structures is shown.
