The impact is a special situation in the operation of many equipment and structures. It can be both desirable and undesirable. If an impact is necessary and desirable to achieve a result, the required impact force and the trajectory of the objects after the impact must be calculated. If the impact is undesirable (but predictable or unavoidable), the resistance of the structure or mechanism to it must be taken into account. In this course, students repeat the basic concepts of mechanics to analyze direct and oblique impact, impact with rotation, collision of two bodies.
