Description
The topics of the course cover issues related to: collection and processing of geospatial data; creation and use of geographical databases and metadata for them (including vectorization of relief, hydrographic network, road network, infrastructure of settlements, land cover and land use, recreational areas, industrial zones, sources and degree of pollution of environment and others); creation of problem-oriented and specialized GIS applications; processing, analysis, evaluation and interpretation of data obtained by remote sensing methods (satellite images and aerial photographs) for the purposes of their integration into a GIS database; compilation of thematic maps with different purpose and scope.
