Description

The objective of the course is to provide the basics of metallurgy, starting from the constitution of crystalline lattices, to arrive at the phases and structural constituents, considering the intervention of micro and macro structural defects on the mechanical behavior of metal alloys. Particular attention is therefore dedicated to ferrous alloys (steel and cast iron) and to the principles of carrying out thermal and thermochemical diffusion treatments
