The aim of the module is to provide the students with a specialist knowledge of methodologies and measurement instrumentation for automation and testing in industrial applications. The course provides a simple understanding of the mechanical and thermal measurement systems and statistical analysis of experimental data. The course contains the generalized configuration and functional elements of measuring systems, static and dynamic characteristics of measuring instruments. The course also shows the instrumentation for displacement, strain, velocity, force, torque, power, pressure, sound, flow and temperature measurement.
