AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: To provide the basic knowledge about
basic discrete manufacturing structures, its automation and information integration.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The main topics concern: types of discrete
manufacturing systems, working and layout models and metric, structures for automation of
production and assembly process (orientation, transport, storage), robotics (kinematics,
industrial environment, control and programming) and the identification of objects and
processing data.
