AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: To give knowledge about use of
techniques to achieve, sustain, and improve the quality of a product or service. It involves
integrating the following related techniques and activities – specifications, design of the
product or service to meet the specifications, production or installation to meet the full intent
of the specifications.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The course treats the Quality Control basic
principles and international systems. The theory of probability and statistics, which is used in
the various methods for Quality Control, is discussed. The basic experimental methods and
techniques for evaluation of quality are treated.
