The course seeks to achieve a comprehensive approach that allows the development of sustainable urban, economic, social, political and spatial urban policies and strategies, general understanding of political theories and possible applications in the context of urban development, the ability to place major development initiatives in different development cultures and socio-economic agendas, understanding the role of public and private actors in formal and informal urban development processes, prospects for substantiating decisions in strategic phases, pre-design for urban development initiatives and the ability to relate urban policies with spatial results at different scales.
