ADVANCED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
508109019

Description
At the end of the course the student should be able to:
1. Evaluate the different phases necessary to manufacture a component (selection of tools, machines, tooling, cutting conditions, etc.) and implement all the data using computer tools for simulation and execution by means of CNC software in ISO code.
2. Distinguish between the different CNC models available on the market on the basis of their main characteristics, internal construction architecture, and advanced programming techniques.
3. Handle advanced CNC machine tool programming software based on the FAGOR 8060 CNC for the manufacture of industrial components, using advanced programming techniques (interactive programming language and parametric programming).
4. Recognise machinable features in parts, draw up manufacturing plans, generate tool paths, perform machining simulations and generate ISO code for programming CNC machine tools using Solidworks CAD software and the integrated CAMWorks module.
5. Define the concept of integration of manufacturing processes in the global activity of the company, providing an overview of the different systems and levels of automation, their productivity, efficiency and flexibility. Interpret the concept of Concurrent Engineering and Computer Integrated Systems.
