The course aims the awareness of the importance of protecting and capitalizing on historical monuments. Study of various aspects of restoration of historical monuments, the Assimilation of monument and restoration concepts, knowledge of the factors that can aggravate monuments, knowledge of research undertaken to restore monuments, knowledge of the categories of restoration work, knowledge of constructive systems and traditional building materials, conservation techniques, and repairs needed in historical building interventions, developing of a specific professional culture by analyzing examples of traditional, modern and contemporary practice.
