The Preparation for Practice module prepares the learner for their first period of professional practice (experience) in architecture. Through the understanding of the needs of the client develops awareness of architecture as both a process and product. It introduces the importance of project administration. Statutory and social obligations are explored with along with building economics and procurement issues. It identifies what is required in the working environment of an architect by integrating skills surrounding professional architectural practice with the Studio design project. This module is made up of two components:
1) Professional practice, and
2) Cost Control and Law.
