Materials forming process and numerical simulation
MQ21

Description
To master and numerically simulate various mechanical forming and manufacturing processes, the program involves:

  • Understanding the technological aspects of conventional forming processes (forging, rolling, stamping, etc.).
  • Through projects, acquiring and transmitting knowledge on less conventional forming processes.
  • Understanding the basic concepts of nonlinear mechanics and associated behavior models.
  • Being able to characterize and model material behavior during forming.
  • Knowing how to numerically simulate various mechanical processes using specialized software (such as Abaqus, PAM-Stamp, and Forge)
