Structure dimensionning by a mixed numerical / experimental approach

Description
To determine and analyze experimentally and numerically, using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the deformations and stresses in mechanical structures, and to compare experimental results with FEA results, as well as to optimize structures for their mechanical strength, the program entails:

  • Determining deformations and stresses in a structure using various experimental techniques.
  • Properly formulating the equilibrium problem for isotropic and anisotropic elastic structures for modeling with FEA.
  • Mastering the use of various FEA software to simulate the behavior of a structure deformed by static and dynamic mechanical loads.
  • Analyzing deformation and stress fields obtained from an FEA model.
  • Adjusting FEA model parameters based on comparisons with experimental results.
  • Optimizing a structure using FEA software.
