Objectives:
This course prepares students to achieve the objectives of level B2 in written comprehension and expression. It is aimed in particular at students who have taken the SFB2 course during the inter-semester course.
Learning Outcomes:
-Be able to understand articles and reports on contemporary issues in which the authors adopt a personal point of view.
-acquire a good knowledge of current issues through regular reading of the press
-prepare to pass the reading comprehension test offered in the TCF and DELF exams
-master the syntactic structures required for level B2, in particular complex sentence structures
-write an essay or report, developing arguments methodically and clearly explaining the logical relationships between ideas
-be able to summarise information and opinions expressed in a text or audio document in order to comment on and criticise them
-understand complex discourse (narrative, descriptive, explanatory and argumentative) on a familiar topic in a conversation between native speakers, a lecture or a presentation
-recognise the point of view and positions of speakers. Follow a lively conversation between native speakers.
- Develop an argument by linking arguments logically and highlighting important points.
- Take an active part in informal discussions, expressing opinions and responding to the arguments of others.
- Conduct interviews effectively and with ease, spontaneously moving away from prepared questions and exploiting and stimulating interesting responses.
