Objectives
This course looks at the different transmission techniques and parameters depending on the media used.
Learning Outcomes:
-understanding the various stages involved in digitising an analogue signal
-understanding and implementing a digital communications chain
-be able to detect the phenomenon of interference between symbols in baseband communications
-understand and compare the various digital modulation and demodulation schemes
-understand the principle of optical communications
-understand the origin of attenuation and dispersion in optical communications
-propose technological solutions to improve the performance of an optical communications chain
