Professional Skills for Civil and Geomatics Engineers II

Description
The main objective of the course is to provide students with a better understanding of the role of engineering science in shaping the environment and the way of lining of citizens as well as to further develop their professional skills to a more advanced level by building on the learning outcomes of the course Professional Studies and Skills I. An important objective of the course is to further enhance the professional skills developed in CIV111 particularly in relation to teamwork, leadership, modeling for engineering problem solving, design and problem solving, engineering ethics and entrepreneurship. 

Upon successful completion of the course, students are expected to be able to develop a better understanding of the role of Engineering science in shaping the environment and the way of living of its citizens. Students will also have the opportunity to develop to a greater degree the important skills necessary for a successful professional career in their role as Civil and Surveying/ Geoinformatics Engineers mainly through the relevant lectures and more complex teamwork projects assigned to them giving emphasis on teamwork, leadership, modeling for solving engineering problems, design and solving of problems, ethics in engineering and entrepreneurship.
