Microwave Applications
504104004

Description
At the end of the training program, the student must be able to:
Analyze and design microwave subsystems: oscillators, amplifiers, distribution circuits, antennas, filters, mixers, detectors and control circuits.
Implement these subsystems in hybrid printed technology, made up of printed circuits and high-frequency components.
Manage technical information to select the most appropriate high frequency components for each application.
Use CAD tools for the analysis and design of microwave subsystems.
Generate the layout of high frequency printed circuits, for their manufacturing and assembly together with radio frequency components.
Distinguish the different subsystems that are part of microwave systems for different applications: civil and military communications, terrestrial and space communications, consumer electronics, scientific, medical, biological and industrial applications.
Investigate and understand the operation of future microwave systems and their applications.
Have knowledge, perspective and sensitivity about the implications that new communications technologies (particularly wireless technologies) have on the current functioning of our world. Understand how these technologies influence social, economic, political, scientific, legislative, moral and philosophical aspects.
Develop responsibility for these changes and their consequences, as telecommunications engineers and citizens who are part of this change.
