Description
Simulation of Chemical Processes

Unit 1. General criteria for chemical process simulation.
Stages in design development. Documentation and references, process definition, scope and design aspects. Types of design.

Unit 2. Process simulation fundamentals.
Mathematical models. Methods for model resolution. Global analysis of systems.

Unit 3. Estimation of physicochemical properties.
Equilibrium diagrams. Residue curves. Estimation of equilibrium conditions using equations of state and activity coefficients. Stages for physicochemical properties estimation methods. Enthalphy estimation.

Unit 4. Computer aided chemical process simulation.
Commercial simulators. Open access simulation software.
