This module is for ERASMUS+, EUT+ or other international exchange participation students who have no previous knowledge of Irish. This module is benchmarked at A1.1/A1.2 on the CEFR. Taught partially through English, a communicative approach is adopted in teaching that makes maximum appropriate use of Irish is adopted throughout so as to develop all four language skills in an integrated manner. An extensive range of additional materials benchmarked at A1.1/A1.2 Level on the CEFR which are not used in class will be made available online through the Virtual Learning Environment to support independent learning. successful completion of the module, students will be able to perform a range of appropriate tasks across the four main language skill areas.
