Roads II - Project
CFDP46.00

Description
  • Study of a new optimized route variant, based on the two variants studied in Roads I, on a new site plan.
  •  Staking out the route and determining the elevations of the stakes; complete arrangement of the road platform and indication of the elements of horizontal curve connections.
  •  Design in longitudinal profile – existing ground line / black line.
  •  Study of water drainage on the plan. The design standards shall be consulted in order to establish the type of ditch/gutter to be used, together with the location of culverts.
  •  Design of the pavement structure in two variants: flexible and semi-rigid. Freeze-thaw verification.
  •  Design of the rigid pavement structure. Freeze-thaw verification.
  •  Design in longitudinal profile – design grade line / red line.
  •  Spatial arrangement for determining crossfalls/superelevations and visibility study in plan view for curves in cut sections.
  •  Standard cross-section. One standard cross-section shall be prepared for each of the three designed pavement structure variants. Each cross-section shall include a ditch/gutter/traversable gutter.
  •  Current cross-sections: all current cross-sections shall be arranged at all stakes marked on the plan, including cross-sections with culvert/support structure/benching steps, etc.
  •  Determination of earthwork volumes; preparation of a preliminary quantity estimate to establish the investment value for the infrastructure and superstructure.
  •  Laboratory – stone materials and geosynthetics.
  •  Laboratory – stabilized local materials.
  •  Project submission and presentation/defense.
