Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory

Description
The module is divided into a lecture and several experiments on the observation, measurement, analysis and explanation of hydromechanical phenomena in hydraulic engineering.
The following topics will be dealt with:
- Fundamentals of similarity mechanics
- Application of model laws (Froude, Reynolds)
- Practical exercises in the hydraulic engineering test hall and in the field
- Principle hydromechanical questions
- Hydrometry (classical and computer-aided measurement methods)
- Dimensioning and optimisation of hydraulic structures in the physical model.
- Insights into research and development projects of the hydraulic engineering test hall
