Student Projects – MIND Pedagogy
PETM

Description
This learning unit is based on student-led projects and follows the principles of MIND Pedagogy, which place students at the center of the learning process through an active, experiential approach (learning by doing).

MIND Pedagogy enables students to develop their initiative, creativity, and innovation skills by carrying out technical, scientific, or interdisciplinary projects, or by engaging in meaningful student or associative initiatives.

Project topics may be:
- proposed within a predefined framework;
- or proposed by the students themselves, who may define their own project and subsequently identify an academic supervisor aligned with the chosen theme.

This approach promotes student-centered learning, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning pathway, actively build their competencies, and assume responsibility for their project, while benefiting from guided autonomy.

Note: In a given semester, a student cannot choose both this unit (PETM) and the MMPE unit offered by the Mechanical Engineering Department.
