Description
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: The aim of the course is for students to learn and be able to apply the approaches, methods and technical means for design, analysis and application of computer systems in accordance with their needs and interests to acquire new knowledge and opportunities in this subject area.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The course considers: Arithmetic basics of computer systems, Digital devices and elements of computer systems: basic logical gates, decoders, multiplexers, flip-flops, registers. Types of computer memories - characteristics, organization, action, expansion of volume and word. Single-chip microcomputers - architecture, basic characteristics, modes of operation, Ways of data exchange - parallel, sequential, parallel-sequential. Types of interfaces - examples and implementations.
