Conveyor technology, material flow technology and logistics
MK.2865

Description
Lecture
 -        This course teaches the fundamentals and interactions in the field of conveying and storage technology. Based on this, the most important continuous and discontinuous conveyors for unit loads and bulk materials are presented and the respective marginal conditions of use are illuminated. The consideration is limited to the individual and basic functions of the elements. In the subject area of warehouse technology, students are first given an overview of the classification and function of warehouses in logistics systems. Furthermore, the main bearing designs are explained on the basis of their characteristic properties.
-        differentiated. Warehouses with and without shelving as well as dynamic and static storage techniques are are described and assigned to typical use cases. The basic features of warehouse organisation are explained and the most important warehouse operation strategies are assessed with regard to their effects.
-        Internal transport systems, warehousing and picking techniques, material flow costs and material flow analysis, information systems in logistics,
 -        Conveyor Technology, Material Flow Technology and Logistics Practical Course (FTT.P): -        Simulation software Witness Conveyor Technology, Material Flow Technology and Logistics
Laboratory/Tutorial
-        The students should be able to differentiate the material handling systems and the component groups they are composed of. They should internalise the significance of the different loading aids. They should be able to illustrate the connection between the properties of the piece goods and bulk materials and the components of material flow systems. Application of simulation tools
