Description
Food processing and packaging are key elements in delivering safe, high-quality, and innovative products that meet consumer demands while minimising environmental impact. In the context of a circular economy, professionals must be able to design efficient systems that reduce resource waste and preserve nutritional value throughout the food chain.

This course provides students with the technical knowledge and practical tools to optimise food processing and packaging operations. Emphasis is placed on process design, energy and material efficiency, hygienic engineering, and innovation in packaging solutions. Real-world case studies and design-based learning will prepare students to develop sustainable food systems aligned with current industry standards and practices.
