Course program
1. Introduction to Engineering Geology and Natural Risks. 
2. Basics of Geology. Review of the Earth system: mineralogy; lithology and rock classification; volcanology; sedimentology and structural geology; seismology; geological mapping. 
3. Fundamentals of soil mechanics; rock mechanics; hydrogeology. 
4. Geological hazards: landslides and ground instability; seismic hazards; geological risk prevention and mitigation.
5. Engineering Geology Methods: site investigations; geological-technical mapping.
