Description
In the Structural Dynamics lecture, knowledge from basic structural analysis is applied to dynamic effects and calculation methods in civil engineering. A focus is placed on earthquake-resistant construction. Software is also used to perform complex calculations and illustrate dynamic effects.
Topics covered:
- Dynamic loads
- Single-degree-of-freedom oscillators:
free and forced oscillations
- Systems with multiple degrees of freedom: modal analysis
- Earthquake-resistant construction: fundamentals, geology, response spectrum method, replacement loads
Design of reinforced concrete structures Earthquake-resistant structural design Normative implementation
- Wind engineering
- Human-induced vibrations
- Dynamics of impact, impulse loading
- Numerical methods
