Fundamentals of water treatment (history, requirements, drinking water regulations, water balance, water resources, water quality, lime-carbonic acid equilibrium) Treatment processes in waterworks
- Physical processes (filtration, sedimentation, gas exchange)
- Chemical processes (deacidification, deferrization, demanganization, softening)
- Biological processes (demanganisation, denitrification, nitrification)
- Other processes (adsorption, oxidation, disinfection, membrane processes)
- Swimming pool water treatment
- Materials and corrosion
Laboratory exercises (e.g. experiments on deacidification, precipitation or softening) Excursion to
