Description
• Requirements and tasks for designers, certified engineers, experts and specialist planners in preventive fire protection
• Fundamentals of ‘fire and smoke’, legal principles, protection objectives and fire protection requirements of the Hessian Building Code (HBO), structural fire protection according to DIN 4102
and EN 13501
• Requirements for escape routes, safety concept for internal stairwells and areas for the fire brigade
• Operational limits and rescue equipment of fire brigades, technical fire protection and related excursion
• HBO in detail, distinction between standard buildings and special buildings, technical building regulations
• Chemistry of burning and extinguishing
• Safety-related parameters
• Fire and fire behaviour of building materials and components in detail
• Fire protection in technical building equipment: lifts, safety lighting, emergency power supply, piping and ventilation systems, cavity screeds and raised floors
• Fire water supply, fire drill/excursion
• Liability and responsibility for the creator of evidence and concepts, fire protection concepts,
types and contents
• Fire protection evidence in practice using examples in building classes 1 -5
