Geotechnical Laboratory and Field Techniques
183211

Description
Laboratory and field work are carried out in small groups.

Field methods: soil assessment in the field, sampling, density determination, small borehole drilling, dynamic probing, plate load tests are carried out independently in the field, documented and evaluated.

Laboratory methods (if possible on samples obtained in the field): water content, organic components, plasticity, grain distribution (sieving and sedimentation), compression test, water permeability, Proctor test, direct shear test, uniaxial compression test are carried out independently in the laboratory, documented and evaluated.
