Objectives
The aim of the module is to provide the students with a specialist knowledge of methodologies and measurement instrumentation for test and certification of transmitters and receivers complying with the widespread communication standards.

Course program
Fundamentals of spectrum analysis. The architecture of modern measurement systems for characterizing and testing transmitters and receivers complying with the widespread telecommunication standards. Swept-tuned spectrum analyzer architecture. Fundamentals of real-time spectrum analysis. Testing and Troubleshooting Digital RF Communications Transmitter Designs. Laboratory activities: Labview NXG or MATLAB basics. Design and implementation of an automated measurement system for characterizing and testing transmitters of analog and/or digital communication signals.
