Didactic unit I. Basic concepts and definitions

Theme 1. What is BIM. What is BEP. Modelling vs. Drawing.
Theme 2. Working philosophy in BIM. Application to Revit. Levels of detail: LOD.

Didactic Unit II. Introduction to Revit.

Theme 3. Revit working environment. Choice and types of templates.
Theme 4. Definition of families and types of families. Families by category and type, by their host (floors, walls, lines, etc.), model and annotative, etc.

Didactic Unit III. Modelling.

Theme 5. Template selection and modelling. Linking/Importing CAD.
Theme 6. Modelling information: floors, walls, roofs. Connections.
Theme 7. Doors, windows, stairs and railings.
Theme 8. Rooms.
Theme 9. Planning and quantity tables.
Theme 10. Assembly of plans.

Didactic Unit IV. Constructive definition.

Topic 11. Advanced study of wall design. Creating wall pieces.
