Description
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the structure of the classic operating system, components, basic processes and functions. Task planning, introduction to parallel processing, through threads. Cloud structures, virtualization and containerization.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: Main topics: Connection of the computer system with the operating system, memories and registers, structure and types of OS cores. Processes and interrupts. Management of file systems, types. Threads and parallel processes, thread management. OS virtualization. Containers and technology for OS containerization. Cloud structures. Embedded systems and controllers, introduction. Mobile OS.

  • Understand the basic structure of modern operating systems, operating system kernels, in order to implement, extend and use applications that access the operating system directly
