Learning objectives:
Students
are able to describe the drivers and central characteristics of digitalization and use examples to explain the impact of digitalization on society, organizations and the individual.
can describe the key IT innovations of digitalization and their characteristics and identify application scenarios for these innovations in an organizational context.
can explain which strategic issues should be addressed in the course of digitalization and how a digital transformation strategy can be organizationally anchored and delineated.
can explain the procedure for developing a digital transformation strategy and illustrate it using examples.
can explain how business models are changing in the course of digitalization and how this affects the form of value creation as well as products and services.
can apply the concepts for analyzing and designing business models.
can deduce what structural changes digitalization requires in companies and what role business process management plays in this.
can explain the effects of digital transformation on IT management and give examples of current developments in this area
can independently analyze a specific issue from the context of digital transformation, prepare it in a way that is suitable for the recipient and present it.
