Description
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical training for methods, devices and systems for measuring electrical and non-electrical quantities, used in information and communication technologies.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The main topics concern: Measurement - general information; Error and uncertainty. Resetting and calibration of measuring transducers; Measurement of voltage, current, power, resistances, capacitances and inductors; Measurement of signal parameters using oscilloscopes - amplitude, period, frequency, phase difference; Measurement of non-electrical quantities; Basic building components of measuring instruments; DC measuring instruments; Alternating current measuring devices; Frequency meters; Internet based measuring systems and virtual measuring instruments.
