Offshore Structures
CIV_445

Description
Introduction to offshore engineering. Offshore structures types. Design, installation and maintenance of fixed and floating coastal and offshore structures (eg semi-submersible oil platforms, marine docks, monopiles). Hydrodynamic interaction of structures with sea waves and numerical modeling methods. Wave mechanics (regular and irregular). Wave loading in offshore structures. Loads and design of anchor types of floating structures. Offshore structures; analysis and design. Stability of underwater.

Introduction-Types of offshore structures.
