Description
Understanding the definition of cadastre and analyze the concepts and operations related to the spatial, legal and fiscal characteristics of cadastral systems.  Furthermore to enable the student to get aware on modern trends and developments of cadastral systems, and to understand the role of cadastres in ensuring the property rights of persons and formulating the basis of sustainable development . 


Historical review. Definitions. Immovable properties. Rights and Restrictions. Persons. Existing cadastral systems features.

Modern trends and developments of cadastral systems.

Surveying and mapping of immovable properties. The Cyprus Cadastral map.

Legal aspects of cadastre with references in Cyprus law.

Fiscal aspects of cadastre and property taxation.

The Cyprus Land Information System.

Land Consolidation.
