TECNICA DEL CONTROLLO AMBIENTALE (ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL TECHNIQUE)
90898

Description
Objectives
The course aims to provide knowledge of the basic principles and applications of advanced analytical techniques in the field of indoor and outdoor environmental control (acoustics, lighting engineering, thermo-hygrometric well-being and air quality). The course consequently proposes an in-depth study of the phenomena of acoustics, lighting engineering and thermo-hygrometry in civil, industrial and work environments (indoor and outdoor), with the necessary references to applicable standards and laws, in order to raise students' awareness of improvement of well-being conditions. Furthermore, the course will allow students to design the built environment in order to respond to multiple well-being requirements.

Course program
The environmental comfort, Outline of thermodynamics, heat transfer, air psychrometrics, control of thermal and hygrometric conditions and related comfort, human thermoregulatory system, Fanger's model, the comfort measurement, data acquisition systems and sensors, thermal stress, notes on building thermophysics, air conditioning, bioclimatic architecture, respiratory and olfactory comfort, environmental pollution and air quality control and measurement, notes on design of HVAC plants, sound propagation and acoustic comfort, phonometrics, notes on acoustic behavior of buildings and acoustic design of building components, visual comfort, noteso on natural and artificial lightening, lighting measurements, notes on lighting design of building envelopes and of artificial lightening systems.
