Water Supply and Sewerage

Description
The study course includes the terminology, structure and main design principles of water supply and sewerage systems, as well as subtopics related to their construction and operation. The study course deals with water intake - water supply sources and water intake constructions, pumps and water lifting devices, water supply distribution network and structures, water tanks, drinking water characteristics and treatment, building's water supply, pressure lifting devices in buildings, fire water supply in buildings, water supply system automation, building's sewerage, sewerage collection networks and structures, characterization of wastewater composition and wastewater treatment. The requirements of Latvian construction standards are considered.
