Construction Methods and Technology

Description
The study course covers all stages of construction, starting with the rational planning of material and technical resources up to the optimal selection of devices and mechanisms for the main construction works, environmental protection requirements in civil engineering, pollution caused by construction works and control thereof, systems and equipment for reduction of pollution levels, methods and equipment for recycling of construction waste, storage, temporary buildings, energy solutions, rational construction machinery layout on site.
In the course of studies, students acquire the knowledge about the selection of appropriate construction technologies with regard to the rational technical and economic substantiation of the choice of construction machinery. Students learn to apply theoretical knowledge to solve certain construction industry-related issues. They should also develop an awareness of the need for environmental protection measures in civil engineering.
