Description
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: The students will develop strong scientific approach and
vision for the material world, they will acquire skills to deploy theoretical apparatus for analyzing and
solving of basic practical problems. The experimental work will provide students with practical skills
and attitude for application of the equipment and measurements of physical quantities. The acquired
general knowledge, theoretical and experimental skills will be of benefit for all consecutive engineering
subjects.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The course provides basic knowledge on the following branches of
Physics: Electrical currents, Magnetism, Oscillations, Elastic and Electromagnetic Waves, Wave optics,
Quantum optics, Atomic physics, Fundamentals of quantum mechanics.
