AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: The course aims to give to the students necessary scientific knowledge, which is the foundation on which is built a number of other general technical and special disciplines. Furthermore, Mechanics II assists in building engineering approach and habits to solve various technical problems.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The course includes: Dynamics of a particle.Work and power of a force applied on a particle. Oscillations of a particle. Dynamics of non-free particles.Dynamics of a relative motion of a particle.Dynamics of particle systems and of an ideal rigid body. Geometry of masses. Mass moments of inertia. Impulse of mechanical system and a rigid body. Impulse momentum of mechanical system and a rigid body. Kinetic energy of a mechanical system and of an ideal rigid body. Dynamics of the simple motions of a rigid body. Translation and rotation of a rigid body. Dynamics of the plane motion of a rigid body. D'Alembert's principle.
