The study course introduces students to the basic concepts of the mechanical behaviour of composites and elastomers. It covers topics from micromechanics and macromechanics, plate deformations and vibrations, emphasizing the importance of composite materials in modern industry. In addition to the theory covered in the first part of the course, the second part includes experimental work as well as the latest information on the fabrication of composite materials.
